WHO ARE WE?
"Untethered?"...we get a lot of questions about the name. The idea evolved from a sermon series by our pastor, Mike Leroux. The series was eye opening: God has revealed that we are created for so much more than just somehow "surviving life" and meeting together once a week to sing and pray. God has a plan to deliver us from the chains of sin and guilt and manmade religion and the shallow things of this world and into a life of freedom and power and impact. We are set free to live a life of meaning and truth.

We believe that we are called to this community with intention. And that we are uniquely positioned in this generation to demonstrate compassion, love, faith, joy, and hope to a world that desperately needs it.
WHERE DID WE COME FROM?
Untethered Church was born out of a vision to move beyond 21st century denominational politics and traditions of men and to recognize the church is a living movement that cannot be contained to a building.  During a season of incredible revival in a group of students and young adults,  God revealed a need for a return to the Acts Chapter 2 model of church family and outreach.  The call was prayerfully answered and in July of 2018, Untethered Church opened its doors.

Untethered had it's first service on July 4, 2018.
Yes, Independence Day!
To us that was no accident.

Since that day, God has been more than faithful to provide.
WHERE ARE WE HEADED?
We strive to be a people who act out the great commission, being quick to go and motivated to disciple. Our church has two focuses for the future: increasing outreach within our community and increasing the level of discipleship within our walls.

Outreach: Everyone in the church is welcome and encouraged to present opportunities for us to be the hands and feet of Christ. We want to teach Christians to stretch that muscle of being others focused and generosity centered by continually participating in events that serve those around us with open hands.

Discipleship: Being a born again Christian does not qualify anyone for perfection. Actually, no one will ever obtain the goal of being spotless in this life, and therefore we need discipleship. A huge focus of our church is encouraging, correcting, and equipping each other as iron sharpens iron. The future for us means diving deeper and being more intentional with our in-house community
HOW DO YOU FIT IN?
Believer or not, we know one thing is a fact: You need community.

Life is way to hard to do by yourself. We as humans need people who love us enough to be real. If culture has left you deceived, bruised, and buried, come be a part of something authentic.

We want to love you, know you, and serve you. Come learn what the refreshing water of Christ looks like when it is practically applied. Join our story of selflessly serving our comminity and learn to focus on others more than yourself.

I know, crazy ideas. I dare you to give it a try!
